MLM Multilevel Network Marketing

What is Multilevel Network Marketing (MLM)?  You may be familiar with names like Amway, Herbalife, Avon, Mary Kay, etc – in fact, there are over 1000 work at home opportunities available today.  In fact, you can go to http://npros.com/ to see everything that is available for the person that wants to be a business owner in this industry.

The concept of MLM is not new; in fact if you are employed by a big corporation or even within a company as small as 100 employees, you will notice a structure and hierarchy.  That is, there will be someone on top making most of the money, like the president, and then as you go down the chain of command you will notice that the pay and responsibilities diminish.  Also, you will notice that the person on the top cannot do all the work, so that is why there are several employees underneath him or her.  Multilevel Network Marketing is somewhat similar, but has its differences.

In most MLM pay plans, the plans allow you equal opportunity to make the big money just like the person who got into the work at home business before you or the person who is at the very top – unlike the corporate structure in today’s terms.  Where else can you find a structure or opportunity that you can make the same or more as the president of your company that you work for now?

The term multilevel means that there are many levels of people that may be above you or below you.  When you join an opportunity, it is important that you have others join underneath you by actively recruiting them onto your team.  The MLM Company must have a product or service to offer to be a legit business and it is your job to have others to buy that product or service to earn commissions.  Once you get a good base of team members underneath you, then duplication needs to happen.

Since you are not required to do all the work, you will need to have others on your team recruit just like you did.  Therefore, in time you can have a team of 100’s and then 1000’s of people by having each person on your team doing their job of recruiting others.

Multilevel Marketing companies use this model so they don’t have to spend advertising dollars the way traditional businesses do.  By having distributors or independent business owners recruiting new customers, the MLM company pays its team members rather than spending that money on television, radio, newspaper, or other media advertising.  Since advertising budgets is a real expense of doing business, the work at home opportunity model will pay you and your team rather than the other advertising media.

Marketing is not an exact science, but the MLM business model proves to be effective as the industry has produced many millionaires and many loyal followers over the course of history.  Most of the pay plans are fair and the companies are legit, it’s just a matter of how hard you want to work to realize financial freedom in this challenging arena.
